About Us

The Wise Company, Inc. was founded in 1961 by Charles W. Wise.  Former President and CEO, Jimmy Freudenberg worked alongside Mr. Wise to grow the business and elected to retire from the Company after nearly 50 years of service. Succeeding Mr. Freudenberg in the leadership role of President and CEO is Mr. Scott Hoffman who joined the Company in 2009.

The Wise Company manufactures seat assemblies and related items for road machinery, fork-lift trucks, farm equipment, trucks, golf carts, pleasure boats and other miscellaneous equipment with customers throughout the United States and globally as well. 

The Wise Company is the largest manufacturer of pleasure boat seating and interiors in the country. With manufacturing facilities in Tennessee, Illinois, Arkansas, South Carolina, Missouri and Mexico as well as our corporate offices in Memphis, Tennessee our Company has over 1,000,000 square feet of manufacturing, warehouse and office space with some 300 employees.

Many of our valued customers have been with us for three decades and several since the inception of The Wise Company.  A few of our nationally recognized customers include: Bass Pro Shops, Caterpillar, Grady White, iboats, Komatsu, Tracker Marine, Wal-Mart and West Marine.  In order for our Company to retain their business as fellow employees it is OUR responsibility to ensure a quality product at a competitive price with unmatched service.
